House Passes Perriello Amendment To Aid Military Men and Women
06/25/09Today the U.S. House passed the National Defense Authorization Act, which included an amendment by Congressman Tom Perriello to protect military service members who face early termination penalties on cell phone contracts and residential leases as a result of their deployment or change of duty station.

Perriello Backs Major Trade Reform Legislation
06/24/09Congressman Tom Perriello has joined with more than 100 bipartisan members of Congress to lead passage of the 2009 Trade Reform, Accountability, Development, and Employment (TRADE) Act. Endorsed by a broad range of fair trade, environmental, religious, and farmers' organizations, the bill would mandate trade pact reviews, establish standards, protect workers, and help restore congressional oversight of future trade agreements.

Perriello Supports Key Bills to Improve VA Medical Care and Health Care for Women Veterans; Introduces Legislation To Expand Health Benefits for Veterans' Caregivers
06/23/09Today, Congressman Tom Perriello voted in favor of two key bills for veterans' healthcare, both of which passed the U.S. House of Representatives with wide bipartisan majorities. He also introduced legislation to support family caregivers of disabled veterans.
